The core gameplay and story seem to be very solid and bugs can be fixed in patches. 8/10 with upwards potential looks good to me.
9·19 hours agoIch zocke so ziemlich alles auf Englisch mit der Ausnahme von Mittelalter-Spielen. Kingdom Come Deliverance ist da vermutlich das beste Beispiel. Fühlt sich sonst einfach komisch an, wenn die Leute da modernes Englisch sprechen. Für die maximale Immersion müsste man es wohl auf Tschechisch stellen, aber da wäre ich dann auf Untertitel angewiesen :D

10·1 day agoThe modern Russian government is essentially claiming the territory of the Soviet Union. The reason they started their invasion now is because it was the last chance before Ukraine would become a EU and NATO candidate. If Ukraine falls, Russia will rearm and try pull the exact same “little green men” strategy in the Baltic states, Georgia and Moldova next.
I don’t think there are any other Instances aside from the default bsky.social right now. It’s only federated in theory and essentially a closed platform until that changes. Pretty sad that it gets all the attention instead of Mastodon.
There is some video evidence. Though it should be noted that since most of the fighting is happening through artillery exchanges and drones, individual soldiers can not necessarily be identified because they are all wearing uniforms of the Russian Armed Forces. Actual close combat is fairly rare and from what I’ve heard from Russian soldiers so far, the North Koreans do get better equipment so they probably get preferential treatment and are second line behind the assault waves.

Das Bekloppte ist auch, dass zum Teil Spiele gefiltert werden, die noch gar nicht raus sind. Wie soll man die da bitte schon guten Gewissens bewerten? Es wird mal Zeit, dass Steam irgendeine Form der Altersverifikation für Deutschland rausbringt.
Nein, du brauchst einen VPN, dann kann man die Region beim Kaufabschluss ändern. Allerdings ist es technisch gesehen ein Verstoß gegen die Steam AGBs. Da die Niederlande und Deutschland aber die gleichen regionalen Preise haben, glaub ich nicht, dass es deswegen Probleme geben wird.

Cruelty Squad has been the most surprisingly enjoyable game that I’ve played in recent years. I initially thought the extremely positive rating was just elaborate trolling after looking at the screenshots.
Komplett lächerlich, dass es so lange gedauert hat. Wenn es jetzt auf einmal möglich ist, wäre es auch vor Monaten schon kein Problem gewesen und eine Vielzahl ukrainischer Soldaten würde heute mit Sicherheit noch leben. Aber immerhin ist es noch was geworden bevor Trump im Weißen Haus sitzt.
I hope this is not one of those “you can use them, but only for…” situations again.

7·4 days agoI’ve heard that too. But I bet there’s going to be much more than that.
I specifically mentioned the “little green men” because it was Russia’s way to funnel an army into an independent country while claiming that they are just part of a local militia.
It’s not a direct attack and worked out pretty much perfectly in 2014. It would absolutely be a way to continue the conflict, even within NATO countries. Though they need to create a rift within the population first to make such an uprising believable.
Moldova is already at this stage and the leaked plans from the start of the war actually had Transnistria next up on their list.
