Thoughts:
- Makoto is lucky to have a supportive father
- I like how the story reached a point that would typically be a climax in other series within 3 episodes (though the problem wasn’t actually solved, leaving room for the actual climax later)
They’re gonna adapt the whole manga huh? I like to point out how Makoto has impeccable drip whether he wears a suit or dress, long hair or short hair. He has an eye for style. Of note is how he has blue socks.

Done!
Makoto’s dad is the real MVP. It’s one thing to support your kid if they come out, but it’s another to proactively say “if you’re not sure, you should give it a try and see how you feel”. On the other side, it’s hell on earth to have a parent make your struggles about them, and Makoto’s mom will not be forgiven.
I thought it was interesting that Makoto kept using “boku” even at the end of this episode, seemingly implying that they’ve settled on being a boy who likes crossdressing, though I still don’t trust that that will hold and suspect they’re deep in egg mode.
Also, Ryuuji, I’m still on your side here but you gotta step it up. You were absolutely put to shame this episode.
This episode was pure emotional damage for me. Well, I just have to employ the skill I trained for years: Smile the pain away :)
I’m happy this exists.
Goddang I so want to slap some sense into that bitch of Makoto’s mother. Not only she’s transphobic, she even guilt-trips them to make it about herself.
At least the dad is supportive.
This episode was so emotional (and it’s only the 3rd one!) and it confirned for me Aoi’s gonna be the “winner”. Nothing against the other guy, but he’s the classic childhood friend that is always passive and doesn’t take action until it’s too late, while Aoi is the proactive love interest that is not afraid to put herself forth.
Team Aoi 100%
