I don’t care unless they force me to believe the way they do.
I would just so I can try their localized menu. I take joy in how their system works there vs. at home.
At a broader level, this is why I stopped chasing after the cutting edge technology for the sake of it. If it vastly improves my everyday life, sure, I’ll consider adopting. Otherwise, I’ll just be miserable if it’s not something I’m passionate about.
sacré bleu!
Based on what I see on the news, yes. Access to children who implicitly trust them appears to be the commonality.
To be pedantic, child sexual abuse is the vicious crime. Pedophilia per se is, I would say, a part of a person with it. They can’t help but get attracted to children. And under no circumstances that can be fulfilled legally, because to do so is committing statutory rape. Children can’t consent. This distinction is very important because (a) not all pedophiles sexually assault children and not all child sexual assault perpetrators are pedophiles; and (b) pedophiles who know that acting on it is wrong get little outside help.
The color of the book checks out
The pacing is my prime complaint. It was clear they had to rush the story to fit in 13 episodes. But overall that makes it a distinction between “it’s a great watch” versus “it’s one of the all-time greats”
The hyperbole is the point. They’re explaining that such a thing is theoretically possible.
Looks more like a legislative skill issue than a judicial one to me. I don’t know what is expected of the judges aside from interpreting the law.
There is a non-zero number of times I thought very bad things that could be disastrous if I have the gumption and ability to plan and implement them. It is my duty to fight it and hope that I never falter in that.
It is what you do that makes you a good or bad person. You’ve done terrible things in the past? You can’t escape the consequences, but you can consciously decide to do good in the future. Keep in mind that it is a continuous battle, day by day.
I’d laugh if S2 becomes a genuine masterpiece. Reverse Promised Neverland.
I don’t have a definite answer to that. Instances are free to associate/disassociate, elevate/silence certain opinions. However, do we want an instance to continue to exercise them if they become the digital town square like the pre-Musk Twitter was?
Absolute cinema. The buildups paid off wonderfully.
Sound Euphonium is more of a Kumiko anime than a music anime. Thematically, Kitauji winning gold in Nationals but Mayu in the soli is the strongest statement of Kumiko’s character development. Can safely say that me rooting for this outcome was an unpopular opinion. I thought KyoAni would not proceed thinking (rightfully) it’s too risky, but these madlads actually did it.
mfw it’s not an Ottoman-era harem anime
It’s like the Holy Roman Empire. It’s not an airline, nor is it a bed and breakfast.
It’s not analogous nor related to the topic, but since you asked, this scenario requires a lot of assumptions.
Is said person intentionally misgendering? I’ll make it quick. “Please respect [trans person]'s preferences.” It’s not my business to force them to comply or not.
