There is a lot of truth in it, unfortunately German companies are often the most corrupt companies in the world.
Maybe not officially, but in principle we all know that.
Keyword: Diesel scandal or wirecard, all the chemical companies like Bayer, Deutsche Bank etc… There are thousands of other examples, unfortunately.
Fun fact, many German companies were facing exclusion from being traded and doing business in the US because they used to publish bribes as tax reductable expenses in their financial reports.
