If I’m posting I’m probably high so don’t hate on me
Australia is super concentrated, the duopoly own 70% of the grocery store market as well as others like 60% of the alcohol market. The rest is made up of convenience stores (mostly one company, IGA) and Aldi, the latter having single digit percent.
You basically sell and buy groceries though these two or you don’t exist. The CEO of one of them got so cocky during a recent interview he was forced to resign over it.
As an Australian who has to deal with the duopoly of our grocery stores after we let them all merge years ago, it absolutely will drive higher prices and nobody who isn’t a shareholder should want this.
They basically “collude” to fix and raise prices here and have whole teams of people who’s job it is to monitor and extract as much money out of us as possible. They also force growers to accept shitty deals or they reject their produce due to “not meeting their quality standards” and there’s basically nowhere else for them to sell it in the quantities they need to.
Nobody wins in grocery store mergers except the shareholders.
The Virustotal results are concerning though.
Microsoft products in this area are weird to me. Like C#, Powershell is great on one hand yet annoying and more difficult to rangle on the other compared to other solutions that are out there.
What we’re currently calling AI isn’t AI but just a language processing system that takes its best guess at a response from it’s database of information they pilfered from the internet like a more sophisticated Google.
It can’t really think for itself and it’s answers can be completely wrong. There’s nothing intelligent about it.
Yeah because fuck hustle culture.
We had mods. They’re a bit like skins and new content, only free and far more creative. They are what you call microtransactions today but you didn’t have to sell your right arm to get them because anyone could make them.
Weed.
The pixelation definitely helps sell the illusion.
Why not just fuck him in front of all the plushies and tell him he’s a naughty exhibitionist then leave?
Performance aside it just wasn’t ready for release anyway. There are major bugs in its simulation in the economy where stuff like your cargo ports don’t function and commercial isn’t actually using your production products and are just faking it. The performance issues are made worse by them not implementing proper LOD when you zoom out so that everything still has way too much detail in it’s models that you don’t need.
I love the game but it needed like 6 months more development and testing before it should have even seen the light of day as an early access game at least.
There are a lot of people that are actually too dumb to change platforms and assume apps like Reddit are the actual internet.
I’m mostly just shocked that they thought it was a good idea for a prank in the first place.
Ten years is an extremely long time in tech and we might not even be using phones as we currently know them by then.
It’s truly amazing what can happen when they don’t cut quite so many corners and release the minimal viable product.
I’m just happy we have all of these choices.
The FOSS apps are fantastic already and Sync is there if you want that too.
Paid software absolutely has a place in the world. Evil companies producing evil software designed to build a monopoly and lock out FOSS apps do not. I don’t think Sync falls into the latter and I’m happy they’ve made the choice to be able to eat.
I love taste.
It’s far easier to slap a chook in the oven and end up with something delicious than what I’ve been able to figure out that’s only plant based.
How long until this trickles down into the major distros?
