I’m into very niche fashion. I love it so much, because it’s fun.

Once had a guy, a stranger, completely unpromted, scrunch his face up in disgust and ask “is that supposed to be sexy?” as I was walking past.

Sorry that my fashion choices don’t sexually stimulate you, you wee little garbage pail man.

Some of them peer preasure each other into using a certain amount. It’s kinda brutal to observe and leaves parents confused.

But not too much makeup or they call each other “slut”, fight, it will come up at the parent teacher meeting, but nothing will change.

Then do what makes you happy! There aren’t any rules. WLW can be into someone who’s femme, butch, or anywhere in-between (or outside) of that paradigm. If your heart tells you to dress up cute, then go for it! :)

Tbf, it’s not like I have no interest in boys. It’s just that girls as so much easier to talk to! (⁀ᗢ⁀)

                Of course...

There’s also the fact that so many men never had a chance to be mature people. They’re soooo mysterious… because so many of them hate having open conversations about themselves. So many were never given healthy emotional tools as kids. So many don’t learn until later in life, instead getting groomed by reactionary social cults into being the most unattractive versions of themselves.

It’s not like it doesn’t happen to women, but so many more men feel unsafe to date. The brain worms is so rampant and hard to deal with. We need to treat them en masse, not through relationships

You’re right. It is scary, isn’t it?

One of the worst parts (from my perspective, as a woman who wishes to help them) is that they’ve become unreachable. They’ve become primed to tune out the voices and opinions of anyone who isn’t cis-male. The rest of us can do little more than worry as they go deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, because anything we say or do is liable to make them burrow even deeper. To reach those guys, cis-men will have to lead the challenge.

                  spoiler

But to do so would require an incredible amount of emotional labor. I believe most cis-men are good people. But in my experience, most of them will shrug off emotional labor tasks at every available opportunity. I’d love for a guy who feels offended by that statement to prove me wrong. I’d love to see them spurred to take action, even if just out of spite. Sadly, the most I can expect is a downvote and/or a futile, self-defensive rant.

The less it’s for me the more I like it. Good make up is, at best, fraud, Great make up shows a creative personality which will still be attractive when it’s smeared across your pillow in the morning.

I am a fan of makeup and don’t really understand why so many men try to claim they aren’t. I generally like more a natural look, but I can also recognize that the natural look takes a shitload of effort and makeup applied in a skillful way. But I can recognize that “natural” makeup is a conscious choice and looks better than actually not wearing makeup.

And, to the point of this comic, it’s really sexy for people to make their own choices and do things for themselves rather than to attract others.

I claim I’m not because that’s just my preference. I’m also not a fan of people doing things solely for the approval of others. If someone wants to wear a ton of makeup because they like it, more power to them. Just don’t do it for anyone else.

Went to the office as a woman one Halloween. (Won the contest!) No one knew who I was, not even old friends. Hell, one friend straight checked me out, bottom to top. That was a system shock.

I now have an appreciation for women and makeup I would never have felt. Also, I apparently touch my face, a lot. What a pain.

As a cis white male, i don’t see any issue with makeup. Ive thickened my eye brows with what i think was eye liner for a job. Idk honestly, i was told by an ex to do so to look more mature for my interview. I got the job.

My friend and I were running an experiment with c. elegans. A wannabe worm that reaches a whopping 2mm in length.

And we needed a poking stick.

An eyebrow hair glued to a toothpick would be perfect. I have very fine hair, and my eyebrows are sparse too. So Iook at my friend, and his densely forested bushy brows. He point blank told me he had done his eyebrows and was wearing makeup. Just my luck. So I plucked out a few hairs. I had a visible bald patch on my eyebrow for a few months. Like a shitty attempt at shaving a small streak of eyebrow.

It was also in a GMO lab where students sometimes worked with antibiotic bacteria. That means the place is a contaminated mess with mystery superbacteria. I got a minor infection on my eyebrow. I was fine, but learned my lessen to never touch my skin again in a lab.

I used to be supportive of men wearing make up. Little less so after that. xD

Make up for women is like the gym for guys

Sure, you may start to impress your preferred gender.

But after a while, you stop caring about impressing your preferred gender, and more about showing off to those who can appreciate your efforts.
