Harris was on Colbert a day or two ago talking about it and she kept calling them tests, which makes it sound like a case of $10 tests. But she did a good job of telling people to remember how hard it was to get tested at the time, how people had to wait in line in their cars for hours, then wait a few days to get the results.

Also remember Trump kept saying we didn’t need to test so much because when we tested a lot it made the number of cases go up., which was so incredibly stupid. I saw a clip where he was on tv ranting that we were testing too much and it turned out to be the very same day he gave those machines to Putin.

Yet another statement from Donald which even on its own should have ended any support whatsoever. Yet another act of corruption.

Algorithmic content delivery and biased news outlets mean they live in a very different world.

      He’s hurting the “right” people.

Apparently that’s what quite a few people want, while not realising they are those same people.

With a two party system (even a de-facto system like in the us) people will just lock into one side and ignore everything bad about their side while ignoring everything good about the other.

It makes the political system get treated like a sports game.

There is no alternative for compromises, since the no other party will ever get power, this turnes everything black and white, you don’t need to think you just need to pick one side once and keep going.

Then it even easier to pick the racist side since the “non racist” side will make your world more complicated and annoying, with the racist side you know exactly who the enemy is, with the other side you need to think and even realize that sometimes you yourself is the enemy. That requires introspection, and the willingness to accept that the world is grey.

TL;DR: It is a combination of racism, unable to do introspection and wanting easy answers.

Look I wanna trust Camry Diaz but what the fuck are “reusable covid testing machines” ? Either “google” sucks or I suck at searching so I can’t find anything and all I have to go on is my bullshit radar and it’s in the red. It sounds too much like the vague accusations from the lower brain cell politicians. It just has that style and motive.

Idk. Dont buy an explanation just cause you agree with it

      EDIT: It’s not thermocyclers.

I’m guessing it might be thermocyclers, I.e. PCR-machines.

You still need some consumables (esp. the proper primers), but the machine is entirely reusable. However, it is also a fairly basic and it sounds unlikely that Putler had a lack of thermocyclers.

I’m assuming it was small bench-top laboratory covid testing instruments for single samples that reported in minutes. These came after large batch sample testing that took many hours. Where I’m from, early in the pandemic, people had to drive to get rested and results were around 24-48 hours later.

So yes, ‘covid testing machines’. Those aren’t the words I’d choose but fair enough for general reporting.
