Straight up one of the biggest sources of my self loathing before I found out I had ADHD.

After that I got my meds, have learned some strategies, and my mental heath has massively improved.

NGL I think my ADHD diagnosis was one of the best things to happen in my life. I just wish it came early than at the age of 29.

I’m 29, and I’m humming and hawing about whether I should try to get diagnosed, especially since the process is so long, and seemingly pretty stressful. I feel like it would do a lot to explain my difficulties in life, but I’m struggling to accept the idea that it could actually be because I have ADHD, rather than just because I’m incompetent and unmotivated.

Same here. Got my diagnosis in my thirties and went back to college, graduated college, got a great job, bought a house, and am enjoying life substantially more than all the years I thought I was just a fuckup.
I even place important phone calls on time sometimes!

I adapted the spoons explanation to DnD spell slots. Some days I get high level spell slots, some days I have a bunch of low level slots, and some days just casting cantrips is the best I can do.

But ADP is good if you’re not… It gives you more i-frames during rolls. IIRC, you need like 30 just to feel like DS1 medium rolling. Interestingly, I saw a video on the movement differences and it made me wonder if adp was added because you can just walk away from an attack easier than rolling in a lot of cases.

Probably part of the motivation is to make iframes a security similar to health, the more you invest into it the more leniency you get.

Agility also affects casting and item use speed, so it’s possible they thought of that first, then felt that iframes would logically fit into that set since it also has to do with agility.

Well, ADP will be useful for I frames (nobody dares to insult the best Dark Souls on my watch)

The worst days where I have so much to do but I can’t focus feels like when I’m on the back foot in StarCraft but controlling all 3 races at the same time:

    • I can’t build here!
    • You must place that in a power field!
    • alien chittering noises
    • Your forces are under attack!
    • We need more minerals!
    • Spawn more overlords!
    • Your warriors have engaged the enemy!
    • I’m in deep!
    • Evolution complete.
    • beep! Waaaawaawaa.
    • That’s a negatory.
    • My life for Aiur!
    • Need something blown up?
    • You cannot warp at that location!
    • You must build that on creep!
    • Well butter my biscuit…
    • AUaaAgHhhhh!

I’ve been trying to talk to my doc about this for months, but everytime I’m there I just can’t. The words don’t come out of my mouth. And before I know it I’m back in the parking lot. It’s pretty ironic, actually.

I can attest to that. Though from what I’ve gathered (but i can’t say from personal experience yet), it may be something that can be improved with therapy and learning new ways to handle those times. I’m stuck in the executive dysfunction catch-22 where i know i could use the help but I’m still too stubborn or disbelieving (or whatever executive dysfunction causes) to seek it

      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

        catch-22

Precisely. I think the situation I’m in right now also makes it difficult to seek out treatment. But then again, I don’t really know if it’s that or also the fucking executive function disorder.

I’m tired and exhausted of being indecisive

Items with haste or reduced cooldowns can help.

Look for consumables with the “amphetamine” postfix, though be aware that sometimes items have unique names that might hide the specific pre- and postfix enchantments.

Also, some consumables in the “psychedelic” category can help, but it’s very dependent on the individual and the circumstances surrounding the period of time you have the buff active. You might figure out how to improve those cooldowns, you might decide it’s time to pick a whole new character class, or many other options that are pretty much just up to your subconscious.
