    I’d say it’s plenty developed, it’s a natural thing after all that everyone has automatically, but I assume it’s just less talked about because as those comments show some men will immediately accuse them of ‘being dishonest about their own taste’ (for what gain?) just because they don’t happen to like the same things that men do.

      That’s actually something the article talks about. According to the article, assuming women have that “gaze” because men do is the core of the misunderstanding.

        Well I can’t speak for every woman but I certainly do have something like it

          Yep, it’s pretty weird to go from “women generally want different things” to pretending women don’t find some people visually attractive. They were trying to frame the male gaze as a symptom of the patriarchy but not doing a great job of it.
