The answer is nuclear power.
Tariffs make us all poorer in the long run. Did we learn nothing in the 20th century?
I’m sure rewarding Islamic terrorism will have no dire consequences…
Wouldn’t surprise me if Russia funded the organisers.
Hardly, Russia is pro-Islam - they’ve met Hamas and are working with Iran.
They are part of the Islamic Axis of evil.
This is stupid and unenforceable.
That 19 trillion isn’t spendable money at all though. Learn the difference between GDP and a budget.
We’re already at high inflation, high interest rates and little to no growth - the situation is extremely precarious in Europe. We could easily end up like Argentina or Turkey.
Europe has donated around ~$150 billion USD (including from member states). That’s almost an entire year’s EU budget, over 20x the ESA’s annual budget (wtf), and over 20x the EU’s 6-year contribution to ITER (double wtf).
The money comes from somewhere and Europe is broke.
The US needs to stop shirking their duty, and send the military in. They are making an absolute fortune off LNG and weapons exports, they should take the responsibility to help.
EDIT: Also rich for Poland to complain about this when they are the biggest leech of EU funds in the Union. It’s absurd that there are only ~9 net contributors to begin with.
Given it’s such a small number of people just lock them up forever after the 3rd or 5th offence - the needs of the many…
China is already way ahead of us in most areas though. They have their own space station, electric cars, etc. - if anything we should be hoping to import technology from them.
It’s Europe that is becoming a backwater - especially with the never-ending overburdening regulation like the AI Act, DSA, and Cybersecurity Act killing startups and FOSS.
They can - but the issue is if the other instances don’t help ban them too then it can become a lot of work literally whackamole.
Like I understand it, but I still think this is an over-reaction. Lemmy.world has been good in banning spammers I’ve reported there in my experience.
We really need more tools for the UI experience (starting with fixing the refreshing home page and post switching bugs!) - like to allow communities and instances to completely block image posts and comments, to auto-moderate URLs, detect users posting repeat content, etc. but de-federating like this is not the answer IMO.
Terraria - I just don’t understand what you’re meant to do or why it’s interesting.
I actually really like TOTK though, it’s a big improvement over BOTW with a slightly more alive world and the vehicle creation stuff is fun.
Ocarina Of Time - nothing else comes close really.
I also liked The Witcher 3.
Yeah, had a drug dealer burgle our apartment (just an opportunistic thing, spare keys had been left outside by a friend who was moving). Fortunately no-one was in, but it sucked to have to deal with all the damage and security.
We eventually tracked them down when they sold some stuff though and they were actually arrested and we got a few things back.
It was awesome the police actually raided them. Unfortunately the new government released them as prisoners with “non-violent” offences.
