I assume they take digital maps when possible. Most countries will have digital maps of their territories, be it for military use or research or other. And many companies do to. Digital car navigation existed before google maps and logistics companies for sure had digital maps as well.

For some parts I am pretty sure they just scan paper maps and convert it by hand.

Google doesn’t map things. They take existing maps and then overlay the satellite images. Most likely Indonesia has more detailed Maos of the area than the Papuan side

The reason it seems like people “become” gay is because sexuality is something that develops during puberty. The same way tall people don’t get born tall, but grow to be tall. However they never choose to or worked towards being tall.

If you ever heard something like “XYZ is turning the kids gay!”, its a lie. Differently to being tall, sexuality is something internal, something you feel. And many people are being told that what they feel is wrong. So they believe it is wrong and surpress what they feel. This leads to misserabke lives, depression and often violent/abusive relationships because they are internaky unhappy. If you tell them it is okay to feel what they feel, they are more likely to accept who they are.

So telling people that it is okay to be lgbtq+ leads to more people being openly lgbtq+. They always were. They didn’t “turn gay”. They just didn’t lie to themselves and surpress it.

So how do you use your phone? Every time you type something you use a keyboard app. It might just be the one that was shipped with android (Samsung keyboard, gboard, etc)

They might not know there are alternatives. So they likely do not ccomplain to their IT person.

Dont be a “jUsT uSe LiNuX” guy, but when you see them frustrated maybe say “hey I see you are frustrated as well and I as a patient are concerned about my medical data privacy. You know there are better and safer alternatives, maybe you could ask your IT if it would be possible to switch to Linux?”

Realistically, they can’t switch because the software to use some $€1m medical device only runs on windows.
