  • At the end of the day what is considered “terrorism” is political. If we were to use the term in the definitions sense every government is terrorist. Many countries proud themselves on some point in history that would be considered terrorism, like the American Independence or French Revolution.

It is always terrorism if it is challenging the current power and if it wins it becomes freedome fighting instead. Looking at the way climate protests are handled in the UK or Germany it becomes increasingly absurd, as nonviolent acts of civil disobedience are now investigated and charged as “terrorism”.

Even if the US suddenly lost all its fighter jets, naval force, missiles and bombs. How likely would an invasion be in the next 10 to 50 years?

It is quite a big country with a big population, with a practically uninhabited and difficult to cross country in the north, and a poor drug war ridden country with significant amount of jungle in the south. To the west and east are oceans with some thousands of kilometres until the next sizable and properly inhabitated landmass.

So purely in geographics terms, invading and conquering the US is a huge pain.

Now add to it all the issues of the US dominance in global trade and the ramifications such an invasion would have.

The US doesnt need that army or MIC for defense. It is offense focused and it needs to keep murdering people all over the world to keep its wheels turning.

  • In the second half of 2022 Germany had to export a lot of energy to France, because french nuclear power plants are so poorly run that a lot of them had to be taken off network at the same time.

    https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/even-crisis-germany-extends-power-exports-neighbours-2023-01-05/

FRANKFURT, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Germany exported more electricity to its neighbours than it imported in 2022, even with an energy crisis at home, thanks to more more weather-driven renewable power and greater demand from France.

Due to the technical problems affecting French reactors, Germany for the first time sold more power to France than it received from its neighbour, doubling its year-earlier export volume there. France produced 15.1% less power in 2022 and the volume fell short of national usage by 1%. France faced its own energy crisis amid outages owing to delayed maintenance and stress corrosion.

France failing to diversify its energy production is not a failure of Germany or any other country though.

So you turn on the lights, get your coffee and read your newspaper/browse your phone until someone else is actually there.

Then you do the same thing once you are the only person left.

Congratulations. Flipping on and off lightswitches is the shittiest metric a company can seek and is evidence of bad management.

The meforum is a radical pro Israel lobby group that wants the military defeat/annihilation of Palestinians. Their website proudly boasts a program called “Israel Victory Project”

    https://www.meforum.org/ivp

The Israel Victory Project steers U.S. and Israeli policy toward backing an Israel victory over the Palestinians to end the conflict by convincing the Palestinians of their defeat in their century-long war against Israel. The project offers general policy guidelines does not deal with the specifics of resolution; whatever one’s ideas about final status, Palestinian defeat enhances their prospects. Our motto: First recognition, then negotiation. First victory, then peace.

Only when Palestinians end their nihilism and rejectionism can they build a polity, economy, society, and culture worthy of their skills. Thus, is a defeat benefits Palestinians even more than Israelis.

The project focuses on decision-makers, opinion-shapers, and publics in Israel and the United States with an eye to reviving victory as a concept.

Note that the emphasized statement follows an extremely dehumanizing cynicism like it was argued by European colonialists as they committed genocides all over Africa, the Americas and Asia.

The Leopold Weiss Institute is named after Muhammad Asad

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Asad

Muhammad Asad[a] (born Leopold Weiss; 2 July 1900 – 20 February 1992) was an Austro-Hungarian-born Pakistani Muslim polymath. He worked as a journalist, traveler, writer, political theorist, and diplomat.

The university of Vienna reports an address in Vienna for a registered organization under that name, founded in 2007 with the state goal to “research contemporary Muslim life and thought”.

    https://www.islam-landkarte.at/detail/leopold-weiss-institut-zur-erforschung-zeitgenoessischen-muslimischen-lebens-und-denkens

The author of the text on the meforum Soeren Kern even published the registration information on his website

    https://soerenkern.com/pdfs/islam/lwiwien.pdf

The head of the organization in the registration entry is Farid Hafez, who is mentioned in the meforum text too. As the meforum text admits. Hafez lived in Austria at the time. The allegations of terror affiliation made by the meforum text are absurd though, as a judge cleared Hafez, like the text itselfs admits.

To conclude: There is some legitimate questions regarding the connection to the Turkish government. However the meforum is an islamophobe lobby group, that tries to spread Islamophobia and call for Israels military “victory” over the Palestinians, which given the reality of the already existing occupation only leaves the ethnic cleansing or genocide of Palestinians. the meforum is part of a network to spread exactly the hate, whose existence and increase as a part of Israels political strategy, they try to deny.

Great Britain attempted to develop a canal in 1843. According to the New-York Daily Tribune, 24 August 1843, Barings Bank of London and the Republic of New Granada entered into a contract for the construction of a canal across the Isthmus of Darien (Isthmus of Panama). They referred to it as the Atlantic and Pacific Canal, and it was a wholly British endeavor. Projected for completion in five years, the plan was never carried out. At nearly the same time, other ideas were floated, including a canal (and/or a railroad) across Mexico’s Isthmus of Tehuantepec. That did not develop, either.[9]

In 1846, the Mallarino–Bidlack Treaty, negotiated between the US and New Granada, granted the United States transit rights and the right to intervene militarily in the isthmus. In 1848, the discovery of gold in California, on the West Coast of the United States, generated renewed interest in a canal crossing between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mallarino–Bidlack_Treaty

Officially, it was entitled Tratado de Paz, Amistad, Navegación y Comercio (Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Commerce and Navigation), and was meant to represent an agreement of mutual cooperation. It granted the U.S. significant transit rights over the Panamanian isthmus, as well as military powers to suppress social conflicts and independence struggles targeted against Colombia. Under the Bidlack-Mallarino Treaty, the U.S. intervened militarily many times on the isthmus, usually against civilians, peasant guerrillas, or Liberal Party independence struggles. After the beginning of the California Gold Rush of 1848, the U.S. spent seven years constructing a trans-isthmian Panama Railway. The result of the treaty, however, was to give the United States a legal opening in politically and economically influencing the Panama isthmus, which was part of New Granada at the time, but was later to become the independent country of Panama in accordance with the wishes of the United States. In 1903, however, the United States failed to gain access to a strip on the isthmus for the construction of a canal, and reversed its position on Panamanian secession from the Republic of Colombia.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama–United_States_relations

The evolution of the relation between Panama and the USA has followed the pattern of a Panamanian project for the recovering of the territory of the Canal of Panama, a project which became public after the events of May 21, 1958, November 3, 1959, and then on January 9, 1964. The latter day is known in Panama as the Martyrs’ Day (Panama), in which a riot over the right to raise the Panamanian flag in an American school became the vicinity of the Panama Canal.

The following years saw a lengthy negotiation process with the United States, culminating with the Torrijos–Carter Treaties, in which the transfer of the Panama Canal to Panama was set to be completed in December, 1999. The process of transition, however, was made difficult by the existence of the de facto military rule of Manuel Noriega in Panama from 1982 to 1989.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_invasion_of_Panama

The United States invaded Panama in mid-December 1989 during the presidency of George H. W. Bush. The stated purpose of the invasion was to depose the de facto ruler of Panama, General Manuel Noriega, who was wanted by U.S. authorities for racketeering and drug trafficking. The operation, codenamed Operation Just Cause, concluded in late January 1990 with the surrender of Noriega.[9] The Panama Defense Forces (PDF) were dissolved, and President-elect Guillermo Endara was sworn into office.

Noriega, who had longstanding ties to United States intelligence agencies, consolidated power to become Panama’s de facto dictator in the early 1980s. In the mid-1980s, relations between Noriega and the U.S. began to deteriorate due to fallout of the murder of Hugo Spadafora and the removal from office of President Nicolas Ardito Barletta. His criminal activities and association with other spy agencies came to light, and in 1988 he was indicted by federal grand juries on several drug-related charges. Negotiations seeking his resignation, which began under the presidency of Ronald Reagan, were ultimately unsuccessful. In 1989, Noriega annulled the results of the Panamanian general elections, which appeared to have been won by opposition candidate Guillermo Endara; President Bush responded by reinforcing the U.S. garrison in the Canal Zone. After a U.S. Marine officer was shot dead at a PDF roadblock, Bush authorized the execution of the Panama invasion plan.

The history of Panama and the US in general and the Canal in particular is riddled with the US meddling violently in the affairs of Panama and suppressing its people on the behalf of US aligned dictators.

  • His approval got quite high again, when they invaded Lebanon. No government since the assassination of Yitzak Rabin by a Likud fanatic ever stopped the expansion of settlements. Unfortunately there is only a small minority in Israel that is fundamentally opposed to stealing Palestinian land and murdering Palestinians. These people demonstrate and take action bravely, and often get beaten up, abused, face death threats and other attacks by the Israeli government and the mainstream society.

  • Yeah. There is plenty of fascist nations and failed empires that got removed or completely revamped in history.

Remove the IDF and government to prisons, where war criminals belong, create a new state that is not based on any ethnic supremacy, but equal rights for everyone. Give back the stolen land to its rightful owners, as well as compensate the victims of crimes properly.

Jews, Christians and Muslims used to life together quite well in Palestine before the Zionists came. The state of Israel is the greatest danger to the safety of Jewish people in the region and the world, as all fascist nations are ultimately the greatest danger to their own people or people they claim as their own.
