Hackers like to glitch other users. Randomly turn into a toilet, have all of your ammunition disappear, suddenly fly into the air and die on impact. It made public servers unplayable. Friends only sessions were necessary

“Actionable insights” is the opposite of these corpo buzzwords.
It’s a phrase I use to shut down clients when they ask for something that doesn’t have value. Also know as interesting but not actionable. I prioritize my time on finding actionable insights. Data that can drive decisions.
This is interesting. It seems a fair resolution would be to pay the content owner what they would have made in ad revenue.
As long as the AI is not reproducing original works to the extent that it violates fair use, I don’t think copyright laws really apply. But there’s definitely lost revenue.
While I am generally in the “copyright doesn’t matter when it comes to AI” camp, I also work in advertising. Most people do not use ad blockers.
This is an interesting point that I haven’t previously considered.
That was how I learned Boston has no good breakfast spots.
Also the hotel only served breakfast on certain days of the week? What the fuck is that about. But they gave me a free glass of wine when I got back to the hotel one night.
The people here are either delusional or trying to convince themselves they didn’t see a disaster of a debate.
“So he didn’t somersault onto stage” That… That’s not the issue here
Yeah who is Elon? I’ve never heard of him or SpaceX or Tesla. I guess this Musk guy will die in obscurity. Too bad he didn’t publish a paper.
I’m in the US and have these windows. They have screens. They’re also not that special. I prefer the regular windows
You should look at what the requirements look like for an immigrant Visa. The average person in South America does not have the ability to satisfy those requirements. But that doesn’t mean they are unable to become a valuable and contributing member of society.
I know people in the US that came here illegally and have gone on to become business owners. But only because they were able to meet and marry a US citizen.
There needs to be a legal path to entry. And we should be stopping the flood of people coming over the border at the same time.
Eh, but how much of that is tourist visas. And where are they coming from.
I’m of the opinion that an open border with Mexico is an issue. Which just should not be controversial.
But I’m also married to someone who entered with a tourism visa. Legal immigration is nearly impossible in the US. There are very very few options for a person to enter the country and be on a path to a green card. Saying otherwise is purely ignorant.
He claims this legislation will give him the authority he needs to do something. Do you really believe the president of the United States doesn’t have the authority to take action in securing our borders?
I’d like to see the text of this bill, because I don’t believe the White House is incapable of taking action and actually needs additional powers.
I mean, all a politician has to do is say “I will oppose Bidens open border policy” and they’ll win an election.
All Biden has to do is not allow an open border with Mexico, and he might have a chance of getting re-elected.
The issue is simply reproduction of original works.
Plenty of people mimic the style of other artists. They do this by studying the style of the artist they intend to mimic. Why is it different when a machine does the same thing?
How do you expect a business to run? Every major business decision go to a vote? Or should a company that is bleeding cash not lay off anyone until the company shuts down and everyone is out of a job?
That’s not what centrism means. It’s not an immediate compromise between the two. It’s acknowledging that not every single stance held by a political party is the correct one.
I can support background checks and other limitations on firearm purchases, and also not want open borders. We should be doing something about the excess of gun violence, and we should be doing something about the thousands of immigrants jumping our border.
I had a car with push button start and a CVT. After putting the first 50 miles on the car, the brake light switch died. Nissan, in their ultimate wisdom, used the brake light switch to tell the computer if you are pressing the brake when starting the car. Well, no brake light switch, no starting the engine. Had to get it towed back to the dealership to get fixed.
I now have a real key and a manual transmission.
I help companies sell products on Amazon.
One sold protein powder. Product title says “25g of protein”. First bullet point says “25g of protein per serving”. Main image of the product clearly shows “25g protein” on the label. Second image makes it more clear with “25 Grams of Protein Per Serving” in big bold letters. The A+ content (images in product description) repeat this information in big bold letters as well. Both the image gallery and the A+ content showed a picture of the supplement facts panel. The top rated review for the product called out that they liked the 25g of protein per serving.
Customer messages me, “How much protein per serving? Doesn’t say anywhere on the listing.”
Rage. Instant, immediate, and intense rage.
As one of the people who came to Lemmy because of Sync, I’d say very dedicated fans. It was hands down the absolute best Reddit app on Android. Still feeling salty about what reddit did, so I followed Sync here.
It wasn’t an accident though? It’s a large transit van that doesn’t have a driver
