Unfortunate news out AEW with several injury updates this week.

An ROH regular is sidelined with an injury, as Cole Karter announced he’d undergone surgery on a broken arm. AEW sources noted that Karter would likely be out of action for a number of months, until the later part of the year or early 2025.

Karter had been performing on ROH TV for the last year, teaming with Griff Garrison. Most recently, they and Anthony Henry defeated Serpentico and The Infantry. Karter last appeared on AEW TV in March 2023 on AEW Dark. The last time he appeared on AEW cable TV was a December 2022 squash match.

Riho also sustained an injury during her AEW Collision match on Saturday. She was poised for a feud with Serena Deeb, but now there’s no word on how long she could be sidelined. Riho hadn’t appeared for AEW in four months ahead of the start of the feud.

Yuka Sakazaki, who was also planned for a Serena Deeb feud, has also been sidelined with an injury. She’s been out of action since April.

This coming from the person who gave me a wall of text telling me I needed to familiarize myself with wrestling or else I don’t deserve my position as moderator.

    …?

What? When was this? Did you say something about not knowing what the tag rope was for? Or didn’t know the significance of the NWA and the territory system?

I have no idea what you’re referencing.

      What is being referenced:

Neon is lightheartedly poking fun at you for not knowing who Yuka Sakazaki is, someone who is quite well known across several promotions on both sides of the world and especially to those who watch AEW, in the same way you made fun of him (tho it was more aggressive than just making fun) three weeks ago in this thread:

      With this comment…

"…are you serious? That’s scary. I came to Lemmy because reddit has an AI bot that will find keywords, and ban you for contexts that were never being used. I literally threw that last part in as a sarcastic jab at reddit style modderating.

I kind of feel like if you’re a moderator of a community, you should be firmiliar with the source material you’re modding.

He’s been saying that for like 18ish months now. Given that most of their roster is 30s and 40s, a lot of their dads are dead from natural causes. So he says that to literally EVERYONE. There’s even a compilation on youtube, but it all started with Nick Wayne, because it was supposed to be a sympathetic story. Then Christian Cage goes on and on for weeks about how his dad is dead.

Maybe…follow the source material before being a mod?"

…in which you picked on him for ‘not knowing the source material he’s modding’. As such, he’s having his own go at you in return to pay you back. Not hard to figure out lol.
