      There are about a million times as many non billionaires as billionaires though. Yes, we need to get rid of billionaires, but please do what you can for the environment as well. If you’re on lemmy, chances are you’re in a country that pollutes more than the world average (as I am), so we especially should try to live more sustainably as well.

      Fuck donating to anything through major corporations though, that’s basically money laundering for tax rebates

      Well, we should still be somewhat ecologically responsible for moral reasons. But the real impact is dismantling the billionaires and influencing policies.

      So you dont want to change your pollution habits out of spite? As another commenter said, youre likely well over average for an individual human polluter on this planet. shitty billionaires shouldn’t stop you trying completely.
