Not to sound ignorant, but I am; what’s the difference between this and say the 3rd gen? I borrowed one many years ago and I read with it just fine. I can’t really imagine it needing much else since, apart from a screen dedicated for reading, I have everything else in other devices already.

    Edit:

    • 7″ glare-free display
    • Adjustable warm light
    • 16GB of storage
    • Waterproof IPX8 2M, 60 MIN
    • Weeks of battery life
    • USB-C charging

Yep, nope, I don’t get it. They’re at 12th gen and I can barely understand the point. But now they accommodate for reading in the ocean, but somehow no accessibility features. Cool.

Yeah, I have the 6th gen I think and the only thing I really want is usb-c. Because apart from an old jbl box it’s the only micro usb device I still have. But that’s not worth the upgrade, given that I don’t use it that much.

Yeah, you can just get a $5 asapter if you really didn’t want to keep a couple cables lying around in the drawer.

Yeah, I got that, but I still want to ditch that eventually

Well it’ll inevitably happen anyway haha.

But hold onto the old one, it’ll be worth a lot one day.

“Well back in my day, we used to call that micro USB.”

Wooooow. I know these! They’re so hard to come by. I’ll give you $1.2M!”

Which, adjusted for inflation, is about $3000 in today’s money.
