  • Actually the hotter peppers tend to have much more flavour. Jalapenos are a more flavourful than similar weak peppers, making them popular. However if you’ve built just some tolerance for hotter peppers and you don’t really notice the heat, that’s where flavour town starts and there’s so much variety.

I make a lot of sauces and chutneys, and habanero is my favourite for its super strong flavour and versatility, despite not being too hot. But I also love some of the stronger peppers (like ghosts and reapers) for their heat. Like reaper has an acidic burn that goes amazing with vinegary sauces, but also has a fairly good flavour.

I love the parties I go to. There’s always a great group of people like me having a sit and just talking shit all night. Eventually as the bingers start dropping off like flies, things wind down and one by one people migrate over and join in, sitting with a relieving sigh and a friendly welcome.

Because someone’s got to get up for a drink every so often, the duty is to report back if anything crazy or funny is going on inside, otherwise back to talking shit. Extra great if there’s a firepit and a Bluetooth speaker.

  • What do you do when someone is violently trying to knock down your door?

Well for starters, why have I put myself.in a situation where.this.is happening? But, secondly, I think this was a bad example you pulled anyway, as it was about defence toward immediate violence, rather than instigating it on social issues. In this case the aggressor in your example is the idiot instigating,.i.e. the very behaviour you’re attempting to excuse. And it that’s your stance, well; case in point.

I challenge you to show a real world example of ending oppression that was achieved by asking nicely when one side refuses to come to the negotiating table.

Asking nicely? It happens. But methods without violence? In most cases, the solution to stopping such threats is to cease empowering them, and we have many methods of how this is done in the real.world, daily. Violence creates reactive violence, creates a victim opportunity,.and instills animosity. Its solutions are temporary as nothing resolved the core issue, but it did inteoduce new ones.

So, what are you doing to cease empowerimg your “oppressors”—apart from buying into their systems, wearing their actions, and remaining seated in a place you think sucks? Mm-mm. There that apathy.

  • I dunno how Americans do it, but from life in the tropics dealing with monsoons and cyclones, we fill up the bath tub the day before we’re expected to get hit. Then we have plenty of water for drinking, washing, and cooking.

Most times it’s not needed because civil infrastructure is built for the environment, but some times water is shut off or compromised for a few days. I’ve also had pipes rupture while flooded in for a few days, so water was suddenly dirty, and my bath water become a supply for a few neighbours until floods receded enough for services to come in with water. Sounds a bit wild, but it’s kind of normal in places like that. It’s all part of the “day before routine”.
