The bit about driving narrow mountain roads is so true. I was on vacation once in Ireland and spent a couple days driving through extremely narrow roads with super sharp, blind turns everywhere. It’s frankly terrifying. I was also driving on the opposite side of the road from what I was used to.

I love this series after just a couple chapters…but it comes out so slowly. I wonder how long this series can even run since all its chapters so far have been based on real abandoned roads. There can only be so many of them, right?

The way I see it, I would guess it depends on the area where it’s set. Japan is pretty much mountainous, with a lot of villages and small towns. Wouldn’t be surprised if they author could go on for a good 7 or 8 tankōbon(s?). I come from a similar area, albeit much more sparsely populated, and I am pretty sure I could find tons of roads and paths not in use anymore. Think I’ll actually write it down on my to do list for when I travel back there.

I wouldn’t mind since I love trekking; moreover their excitement is contagious, and both girls are super cute in their interactions.
