I keep seeing this being shared, but I have no idea what it means. I know it’s similar to “Don’t tread on me”.

convicted felon Trump said in a TV Debate with USAs Vice President Harris, that illegal immigrants were eating the pets of people living in a town called “Springfield” in some state of the usa, which name i’ve forgotten.

No, “Springfield” is a very common town name (especially one founded not on a body of water or river but in a field with springs), which is why The Simpsons selected it. May as well have been “Anytown, USA”.

Anyways, the hoax of Haitian immigrants eating cats was supposedly happening in Springfield, Ohio. It’s baseless but that is what Trump fell for, not a Simpsons sketch or anything like that.

i am not aware of a simpsons episode where someone tried to eat pets.

he might have thought of Alf, who is known for trying to eat a cat.

Or: he is a racist asshole spouting bullshit.

I know that. But is the flag actually implying that this is happening, or is the cartoonish depiction of the cat meant to be tongue in cheek?
