Why would they even consider this? What advantage is there in using the imperial system? The only one I can think of is that it has always been used and people are used to it
As a Brit, the only imperial measurement I actually use is the mile. I don’t even know my height or weight in imperial.
Your height can be measured in miles.
In the same way that the distance between Earth and the sun can be measured in football pitches, yes.
It may sound idiotic but European Civil Aviation converted to imperial a few years (maybe a decade?) ago.
Instead of meters they use feet etc.
Totally idiotic.
But it’s idiocracy so it’s ok.
