I am no programmer and am not sure if I am allowed to post this here, so delete if you want.
My suggestion: Like the default sort for posts we need a default sort for comments. There should be a dropdown menu like there already is for default sort posts.

We have it. It’s in the upper right corner in comment view.
Thats what I do now: Click the post to read the comments, Click the icon on the top right Click Top Read the top comments.
Go to the next post, repeat.
I’d want to set a default sort option (to top) or maybe have it saved for all post or for each community separately.
