Connect looks nice and is fast, but it’s really buggy too. But early days. In a month or two we should have a few more good options. Really looking forward to some great Reddit apps coming to Lemmy.

Connect dev here. I’m getting those bugs ironed out! I’m also a Reddit migrant and the app has only been live for about 9 days now.

Thank you for your work! Connect is the only Android app for lemmy that works on my EMUI/Nougat phone, so I’m really grateful I stumbled upon it. Thunder, liftoff and the likes can’t connect, probably because of the old WebView version I’m using - the newer ones sadly fuck with Midori Lite :(

I’ve just installed Connect earlier today and immensely enjoy it so far! I’m looking forward to maybe some additional Themes; and don’t worry 'bout the bugs too much, I’m sure you’ve got the few main ones in your sights and will figure stuff out soon enough! :) – Keep up the good deeds!

Sorry, didn’t want to diss you there. This is crazy impressive for the short time frame.

All the apps are in early and rapid development and I am looking forward to what is going to happen in the months to come.

My point was only the (obviously unfair) comparison to Reddit apps that have years under their belts. But Lemmy apps will get there too.

“Migrants” is fine. “Refugees” makes light of people in our community who are actually suffering the extreme hardship of being forced from their home with nothing.

Hey, there is no intention of making light of anybody, but if my use of that word bothers anybody then I don’t mind changing it in my post.

If you cave everytime someone gets offended, you won’t be able to write anything. Ignore people like that that are purposefully misconstruing your intentions just to make themselves feel better about their boring lives.

They don’t always mean it that bad, but often enough you’ll find they’re ill-mannered trolls who’ll ruin your day if you engage. So yeah.

Second ever comment here. I watched Apollo shut down live, went to sleep and then immediately tried opening it up again after waking up, out of habit - girlfriends still asleep and I got so used to browsing Reddit for a bit before we get up on weekends, it has become muscle memory.

Using Wefwef currently and it’s nice, awesome work especially for a web app.

I just joined today and could use some assistance finding communities that I’d fit into. I’m into Cybersecurity and all matters of computing. If anyone has a suggestion please reply and thanks for having me :)

Came over a few days ago, and the infrastructure is so much better in concept than Reddit ever was.
