I thought =
was a mathematical operator, not a logical operator; why does Python use
=
instead of ==
, or
<=
instead of <==
, or
!=
instead of !==
?

This reminds me on the niche tool in Mathematica I’ve been using, which has four different assignment oparators for that purpose.
