  • I swear i am not part of any ideologists group, least of all a science denying group. I am an OG lover of science and especially have a boner for archeology.

I am not trying to convince you of anything. I am not nor ever will tell people to think a certain way, just warn for limiting what can be conceive by blindly trusting dull old teachings.

The fact that the nature of my message is still not obvious is proof that the problem i am seeing is a very real one. People trow science around but they don’t actually commit to scientific thought of themselves. In the age of misinformation to lager is more and more essential.

  • #1 You use “previously assumed not possible” as an excuse to stop exploring the idea. Come to conclusions based on your own critical mind, not because i said you should and neither because dead archeologists #3 says you shouldn’t.

#2 You don’t need to know nor believe anything in order to explore and derive knowledge from an idea or theory.

Exploring how aliens might have visited in the past : legaly distinct from : believing aliens exist ever

  • I am falling for propaganda?

That’s cute, i literally don’t know who these people are and i have yet to express support for any potential narrative.

You’re falling for too much social media, at least the godwin spin in your argument alludes as such.

As a general rule one shouldn’t believe in stuff that cant be proven. And if it can be proven only a fool would choose not to agree. Can we agree on this as a baseline?

Other than that, we have to consider that we cant know what we don’t know, science is the measurement of reality but can we really understand reality?

Can any argument you make continue to stand against my brain in a jar style existentialism and optimistic nihilism? Surrender to the fact that the belief in facts does not make them true and that the true goal of science isn’t to answer any questions, (animals live a full life without) but to see how far we can take the art of questioning itself, exploring ourselves within the universe.

There are many angles i can weasel out on why there may be… and why no evidence of argiculture… but that wouldn’t be the point. The point is to make you stop thinking in terms of what can’t and start thinking in terms of what can. Because honestly i feel the world needs more of that right now.

  • Well i didn’t exactly look into the details of the whole conspiracy, just the general premise of why a presumed higher being may do anything,

There is a lot we don’t know about our past. Homo sapiens have walked the earth for 300 000 years. For reference the oldest cave art is 60 000 years. The oldest buildings 12 000 years.

I dont like to junp ship and yell aliens at this largely unrecorded time but i do like to revel in the mystery of it.

How did people live, could there be lost empires? What knowledge and motivations did people have and lose.

If aliens where ever involved id love to know trough scientific pursuit.

I agree that our evolution is natural but i consider that for a god like in comparison species any advanced technological act could be perceived as magic or nature.

What if the aliens visiting are just a npc faction spawned in by more elusive alien simulation developers?

    Unironically based.

Scientific works should ideally stand on their own and present all the required information to understand its conclusions in a easy to comprehend for form.

Requiring a human, who is more prone to emotional and subjective errors during live speech then during honest predetermined writing sessions is everything but ideal.

However, a scientific work should be the most possible comprehendible to the target audience which may require multiple mixed forms including live discussion of subject matter.

[scientific medium that allows people to learn and grow independently of other factors] > [scientific medium that aids learning and growth in combination with other factors] > [scientific medium that requires near full knowledge of the subject matter to understand (thats just art for smart people)]

  • I have a really nice set of whittling knives from the time i was passionately experimenting with a borrowed knife.

Guess how much time i have whittled since acquiring that set?

In my defense apparently i missed out on a free tiny whetstone because i bought on a local farmers market rather the amazon page. From this i have convinced myself i need to master knife sharpening and maintenance skills first so i don’t abuse my set.

  • This is a mutual experience that many people can relate to but its mechanics is also core Adhd where this scenario is more extrme and frequent. (Possibly even with important life choices and not just hobbies)

Normalize acknowledging the smaller neurodivergent features that exists in most people as it can help them understand major ones. but do keep it distinct from “everyone has a bit of adhd/autism/anxiety” which is tonedeaf

  • Personally i am huge fan of owning my own data so i only have experience with self hosting from a home server.

You can probably find places pretty easily if you look for “cloud computing”, “cloud gpu”

I am pretty sure you don’t need licenses to start. Renting a last gen gpu may be expensive though (pay by the hour) this way of decentralized compute is becoming more and more common for developers but still has a while to go.

I recommend waiting a few more years and keeping an eye on how services like nvidia cloud gaming evolve and how mainstream working with virtual machines becomes for the average office worker.

  • Small portable home computing devices that you take with you and connect to a screen/ peripherals.

Local GPU and AI power servers in your garage or rented as an online servers.

I have been envisioning this for a while. My Desktop is in a state of “finished” i may build one more “gaming pc” after this but then i am hoping the future is ready.

  • Why? Does 95% of digital advertisement even serve a single valuable purpose?

I get that websites need funding and that legitimate business require some way communicate their services exist. We need to solve the problem for the former and create specialized accessible safe spaces for the later.

When is the last time anyone here saw an ad for a local business, when is the last time anyone recall willfully clicking one? Was there actually anything useful there?

From what i recall ads almost always are one of the following:

    • sex, barely legal drugs and predatory video games. (Lumped together to make a bad pun)

    • real product/fake price: oh this item isnt in stock plz look at catalog

    • politics, buy our guide to get rich, actual illegal scam operation.

None of them are honest or respectful to the customer. People aren’t prey, stop baiting.

Admittedly, for me this is personal. Autism means i experience the extra noise as painful. Plastering it on useful websites feels like a hostile attack to keep me out and unwelcome. I downright refuse to look at watch nor will i support them through ad free subscriptions to the point of it having become a digital disability.

But come on, can we smart online people really not figure out something else that isn’t based on literal brainwashing.
