  • I mean, a sample of 8 is not really a sample, but I can see it being true for some undecided voters if those voters are savvy to know a lie when they see one (plus not everyone cares about the age narrative).

That said, how is anyone undecided at this point? I wouldn’t exactly trust them to breathe and walk at the same time, let alone vote informed.

Doom and gloom aside, we’re still a few months out so things happening now aren’t going to make a huge difference. I just wish this wasn’t all up to indecisive people in indecisive states…

  • Salon always has a bias, but I also can’t help but think he was on Sudafed or something. I also have seen him at other things and he’s generally less… raspy. Doesn’t change that it was stupid to go on like that, though.

I fortunately skipped the debate and only watched highlights, though. I already hate “debates” as far as I remember since, at best, it’s just fluffy sound bites and vague promises, and at worst, a series of unrefuted lies. This sounds like everything I hate about typical “debates” turned up to 11.

  • I mean, the average person has no idea who is running for house, especially in primaries; most have almost no name recognition (even incumbents, unless you’re AOC or MTG). That’s why money works so well, if at the very least it helps a random voter think “that name sounds familiar, let’s go with that.”

Only solution I can think of is just removing money from campaigns and having people rely on endorsements, but that’s not happening anytime soon.
