It’s a standalone AP. No controller. Two different SSIDs.
I’ve had it running now for 2 hours and of course now it works. The only change since last time is that I’ve reset the AP and did a firmware upgrade. Perhaps that fixed it…
There’s only a single DHCP server, a Pihole, which also serves as DNS. Switch B is a cheaper switch, so that may be the culprit. I use it for heavy downloading from my Xbox and that is never a big issue. Speeds fluctuate from 100 to 900mbps (my max) but that’s not necessarily a switch problem.
Yep, thanks for checking, there’s only 1 DHCP server on my network. I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B and will do more investigation when the problem occurs again.
I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B, will do testing as you suggest.
The switch doesn’t have POE, the Unifi AP does use POE via its own POE injector.
Thanks. I’ve recently reset it, it has its own IP via DHCP. I’ve just moved it back to behind switch B, will do testing as you suggest.
Thanks for the insights. I’m planning to import about 1.2Tb of photos… So RAM is most important? What about Intel gen? I’ve compared 4th and 8th gen in terms of cpu speed and 4th still scores well. Depends of course on exact cpu. 4th gen can be bought here for about a 5th of the price of an 8th…
Thanks, HP it will be. When comparing Intel gens, there isn’t a massive difference between 4th and 8th gen, except the openvino detection which only works on 8th. But I can get a 4th gen for 25% of the price of a 8th gen.
Guten tag :) I have always preferred driving in Germany, I’ve found them the best drivers in Europe when we did road trips. As people can go 200+ km on the left lane, they anticipate much better. I remember Dutch people were called NL, Nur Links, as they would stick too long in the left hand lane. Also found that people were more polite in Germany.
But perhaps it’s all perception then!
Have you read the entire article? I’m absolutely not a National fan but they’re not saying that they will reverse all changes, only there were it’s safe to do so. Essentially what the current plan is, perhaps at less places.
Also, they want to focus on other things than speed, eg on alcohol testing.
National will encourage police to increase the use of breath testing and we will fix roadside drug testing legislation so police can effectively test drivers for drugs.
I’m from The Netherlands where we have an absurd focus on speed, and speed testing. It has got nothing to do with safety where they are testing, it’s just another tax.
I’ve got my license 25 years or so and have only been tested for alcohol once. Never in my ten years in New Zealand. That’s crazy. One in five fatal crashes is caused by alcohol.
I just had a quick search on usenet, couldn’t find German dubbed results for popular movies.
I know German dubbed is very popular in Germany, but I think English audio + German subtitles is your best option.
I totally agree with the first five, but not sure about the last one, whole fat dairy. Eg cheese contains saturated fat which isn’t healthy. I had assumed that lower fat milk would be better for eg the calcium.
Home Assistant. It’s a rabbit hole, but it’s great. I’ve got motion enabled lights, thermostats for “dumb” heaters, and I track device usage (tablet, xbox) of my kids.
Guess not what you’re after, but I switched from Spotify to Deezer which has podcasts built in. So I only need one app.
Depends on your stage of life as well. I’m 41 now and a dad, so I have max 2 hours per day. When I was still studying I played wow for entire days.
Now I enjoy shorter games like Firewatch and Lake. Just finished Beacon Pine. Xbox Gamepass is excellent for this as it’s full of these games.
I did play longer games like Mass effect legendary edition, and The Witcher 3, but I only play such long games if I really like them.
Thousands of hours in a game is unfortunately out of the question.
Where did you get one? I bought a travel bidet on Aliexpress but that was terrible, not enough pressure. After the nozzle broke off and fell into the toilet, I immediately binned it.
AC Lite. It doesn’t need controller, it’s standalone. I configure it via the mobile app.
