This time they know, there is no pretending.
I am an enthusiast of Tech, gaming, food, culture, and all interesting things.
This time they know, there is no pretending.
You can label it as a trendy new tech term, but it is the age old yes-manism that I have watched eat up tech executives and CEOs that I have worked with.
The real work of software engineering isn’t the coding. That is like saying that being a doctor is all about reading health charts. Planning, designing, testing and maintaining software is the hard part, and it is often much more political than it is a technical challenge. I’m not worried about getting replaced by AI. In fact, LLMs ability to generate high volumes of code only makes the skills to understand it to be more in demand.
Should probably just filter them out by default, and then have a sort by funny or something.
Game mode doesn’t have a browser. I would be interested to find out of the steamdeck sales almost directly correlate to this increase. Not that I am complaining, it’s a great way to use a linux desktop experience. I didn’t really read how these numbers were measured.
The other explanation I could think of is that linux desktop is being adopted widely in India. I don’t think that government’s adopting linux desktop accounts for a significant portion of the machines.
Are steamdecks getting counted in this?
David Rosen of Wolfire Games (Receiver, Overgrowth, Lugaru) is alleging that steam reps have threatened to de-list his game if he lists it as less expensive on other platforms. Specifically not just steam keys but other distribution platforms.
Man, I love it when evangelical christian supporters tell me I am not Jewish enough. Friggin’ heretical idolators.
What i don’t get is how nvidia stock is exploding when using their hardware for AI is a nightmare on Linux. How are companies doing this? Are they just offering enterprise support to ibsiders or something?
Yeah, I definitely haven’t given it its due, but mostly due to technical issues on the steamdeck. Switching to the linux native version is working very well though, so I probably will stick with it a bunch.
There are still various ways crosscode doesn’t scratch the itch I am trying to get scratched (no character builds, kind of have frustrations with the combat system) but I do want to beat it at this point.
Yeah, I have to admit, Crosscode probably comes the closest to what I want. I do have, and play the game, but I always end up dropping off due to a bunch of personal pet peeves I have with it, and also feeling like the combat system is just not on point. But I should really probably reconsider dedicating enough attention to beating it.
One of the biggest barriers for me for crosscode is that it has stuttering on the deck, but it looks like there are some work arounds that prevent that, so I will probably dedicate some time this weekend to getting it setup.
Do you play mmos?
I hope someone corrects me but:
That’s it, just a really good 2d rpg with action combat. I have been furiously chasing this, and anything even kind of influenced by darksouls or that is a roguelute doesnt count.
I don’t know why people say this is a feature of iphonesm All I hear is people complaining that texting g doest work very well on iphone.im an android guy, and have never had a problem texting nobody.
Well, ultimately, I’m glad that something open source is wagging the dogs tail, I assumed it was the other way around.
Oh really? I was unaware lol.
Yeah, its human nature. Things get better and people come around eventually. Kde plasma is way more continuous from windows 10 then windows 11 is anyway.
Oh, I hear ya dude. The emperor isn’t naked until he is in jail. But more important than anything - it feels bad to loose like this. The whole point of pretending is that you get to feel “strong” and like you are “owning the libs” or whatever. Now, it’s like, what’s the point? They just want to lose again, and get made fun of.
