American work culture has always heavily favored extraverts to begin with. I feel really resentful because extraverts finally got a small taste of what it means to be forced to adjust to a workplace they’re uncomfortable with, and now they act like we all need to go into the office again to keep their needs met.

There’s never been any real consideration of introverts when it comes to office culture, other than to ridicule or minimize us when we express our needs. And btw I work a highly social job and interact with people all day long. I’m expected to adjust but extraverts aren’t.

Slowroll is experimental and it’s still a rolling release that tracks tumbleweed. It might be less maintenance, but not necessarily more stable in terms of bugs. I’ve seen some people report pretty major issues with it in the last couple months.

Leap is the version you want if stability is your priority. You can even get the tumbleweed nvidia driver if you have an Nvidia card and want the latest driver. The only os I’ve used that was more stable than leap was debian. But Leap is much more flexible than Debian.

Yep and that’s why I refuse to use rolling distros. I don’t need the latest update of everything to game. Give me a stable system any day instead.

I have to agree with the other person actually. The drag and drop thing is kind of weird. They ought to just automate it.

Other than that I think Mac is fairly easy to use, and more customizable than people realize.

I do wish they had better window management though. GNOME and Windows both make window snapping so much easier than Mac. And the support for third party hardware on Mac is pretty bad.

I mean is that even up to them? People gravitate to the places with the most content, and right now that’s lemmy world. I think the only way they could combat that is to make lemmy world private, but it might lead to people not using lemmy at all instead of spreading out to other instances.

The other option I see is to make the instances more specialized and basically do away with generalist instances like lemmy world. So you have an instance focused on news with its own subcommunities, one for gaming, one for politics etc. But that could hurt usability. It’s not an easy problem to solve.

If you can afford it, cough up the money for a laser printer. I’ve had mine for years and only changed the ink once. So much better than ink jet printers, which are a total scam
