The nice thing about the Fediverse is that admins can take a step like this to protect the integrity of this instance, and users can still engage with that stuff if they create an account on another instance. Its a question of the process and the criteria. I’m a Canadian citizen. I want to know that citizenship is a status I hold securely, not something the government can revoke if I do something they don’t like. There would have to be a rigorous process for it.
