Nonviolence was a luxury Ghandi could afford during the revolution because Indians outnumbered British soldiers by something like 20k to 1. There was no world where the recently weakened UK (after WW2) could hold India once it decided to become independent.

I absolutely agree. Peaceful protest has never brought meaningful or lasting change. Violent uprisings are the only way to reduce unjust hierarchy, because those in power have never given it up willingly.
Art Nouveau is beautiful and generally a good fit for SolarPunk but I would also make sure to emphasize the optimistic eco-futurism as well. Solarpunk shouldn’t feel nostalgic, in my opinion, but rather hopeful.
Odd choice to use GrapheneOS if you don’t care about security. More power to you, though.
