Yet… I don’t get why using the *Arr stack and Plex is so popular. Plex is annoying as fuck and tries to shill you their paid bullshit at every corner. The Arr stack is buggy and having a separate system for recommendations and requests and for library management is super cumbersome for me. Compare that with Stremio… I could never convince the wife to use Plex with overseer at all. Stremio is super convenient.

Im just saying this because I spent my weekend getting another Arr stack running after years of absence and noticed that the whole thing is as convoluted and fiddly as ever and that really got me wondering why people just take this as the industry standard for torrenting.

Ich habe angerführt, dass es sich bei jedem FTTC-Anschluss “technisch gesehen” um einen Glasfaser-Anschluss handelt, weiterhin habe ich die Ansprache als “nicht ehrlich” beschrieben. Der Grund für diesen ersten Satz von mir war, weil ich die Ansprache eines FTTC-Anschlusses als “Glasfaser-Anschluss” für nicht ehrlich halte, weil man im Volksmund darunter etwas anderes versteht.

Dein Argument scheint zu sein, dass ein FTTC-Anschluss kein Fiber-Anschluss ist, weil man im Volksmund unter einem “Glasfaser-Anschluss” etwas anderes versteht, weswegen der Berater “kein bisschen Recht” habe.

Deine Haltung, dass es irreführend ist, von einem “Glasfaser-Anschluss” zu sprechen, obwohl keine Faser ins Haus liegt, wenn das die dem Laien geläufige Definition eines “Glasfaser-Anschlusses” ist, deckt sich also mit meiner.

Das ändert nichts daran, dass ein FTTC-Anschluss technisch gesehen ein Glasfaser-Anschluss ist. Genau so, wie eine Melone eine (Panzer-)Beere ist. Wenn alle eine Erdnuss “Nuss” nennen, wird sie dann von der Hülsenfrucht zur Nuss?

Dein Vergleich mit einem 40G-Anschluss hinkt an dieser Stelle, weil du hier Beschaffenheit (“Aus welchem Material sind die Leitungen”) mit Leistungsmerkmal (“Der Anschluss kann 40G”) vergleichst.
