The smartphone is so easy to overlook. Very well done.
The smartphone is so easy to overlook. Very well done.
In music class, my teacher had an analogy he’d bring up occasionally: the trashy, beat-up truck on the block could be rolled down a hill sans-driver and you’d hardly noticed a difference. On the pristine rolls royce, though, the smallest imperfection would be glaring.
He was using it as an illustration that, even as we got better, it would just be more important to put the effort in, but I feel it applies well here, too. Trump is covered in so much shit, it’s difficult to focus on any particular issue of his. And while Biden’s far from spotless, his errors stand out so much more that he basically needs to be perfect or he gets picked apart by his own side.

[They] only have immunity for official acts
“Only”. This is exactly why they issued such a nebulous decision, so people like you will say, “Look! It’s not actually unlimited!” The only act they give any specific answer for is the president’s right to prosecute anyone they want without justification, which they say is a-ok. Everything else they sent back to the district courts, not to “shove it up his ass”, but because they are the “court of final review and not first view”. In other words, they’ll deem it all “official acts” later, when (they hope) Trump is in office and this pony show won’t matter anymore.
Legs, too, unless she has insane endurance.
You’re right, but also, at the moment their effort to do that hinges on an absolute moron.
Again, I already addressed the violence approach. Does nobody read the full comment?
You say that like it’s a defined thing that will keep a president in check. SCOTUS rules on constitutionality. Are you really that confident that they’ll keep Trump in line if he gets another term and starts really getting to work? The road to fascism isn’t paved with goods intentions, it’s paved with mealy mouthed, two faced decisions like this that give more and more leeway until it’s too late to take back.
I already commented on Biden’s willingness to enact violence on his political rivals.
Biden definitely needs to make a move here, but I don’t see that working. There’s a difference between “the POTUS is immune from criminal liability”, and “the POTUS has the power to alter the government as they choose”, at least, there is for a President that isn’t going to enforce their changes with violence, which Biden hasn’t shown any sign of being.
Perhaps there’s a way to swing this new legal freedom in a way that does something like that, I’m not smart enough to figure that out. I do at least know that, if this isn’t addressed A fucking SAP, then the US is in some serious trouble.
Just say ACAB, dude. Trying to put it into some code only obfuscates the very message you’re trying to convey and makes you look like a white nationalist to boot.
Seymour is a good dog. Rudy’s a human shaped sack of shit.
…yes. That’s the joke.
Did you just step out of a time machine? Their sales haven’t had games for ages now. Last one was the monster game, iirc.*
*Oh, there was the Saliens in 2018, too, but that was like a one-off.
Did a non-teacher, government official scold you directly? No? Ok, not the same thing then.
New humans cost money, and might not obey their corporate overlords.
