I work adjacent to education, and as such see a lot of high school transcripts come across my desk. The bad news is that there are absolutely tons of bad actors who use homeschooling as a way to indoctrinate kids to their insane, unsubstantiated worldview.

The worst news is that there’s a ton of private schools and even some public schools doing it too. Schools across the U.S. are teaching creationism as fact, climate change as theory, and some of them even have the gall to consider their “Biblical Science” classes as honors level. If your only argument against homeschooling is indoctrination, it’s not a very good one. In states like Utah and Oklahoma, you’d almost have to homeschool your kid just to make sure they’re receiving a real education.

Not all of the EU. Some countries have managed to recover from a far-right party taking control even, like Poland’s “new” coalition that took power back from the far-right PiS. I know it looks rough when you’re looking at monsters like Le Pen making gains, but Europe still has a chance.

Trump doesn’t need 50% of the country though, he just needs to tighten his lead in the key battleground states he was already beating Biden in.

The problem isn’t just his acquisition, it’s that he sucks. His passive is a worse adaptation that doesn’t even work if you want to use the real Adaptation. His AI companions have the same braindead AI that enemies have, making them worthless. His slam is basically a worse version of the ability you get rid of on Rhino.

I think the combo of Razor Gyre dealing slash and Fusion Strike technically being a strip is all he offers right now, and that’s not very much. He needs a full Pablo rework before he’ll start seeing play.

Lowering your standards to “not causing an immediate disaster” is a pretty poor idea, especially when there’s an ongoing genocide supported by the U.S. and fascists are actively destroying our government before our eyes.

Biden, the current president, is doing a milquetoast job. In fact, most of the things I hate about the current administration, like their bizarre about face on border policy and their love of genocide, have been things he’s directly worked on.

The very few precious wins this administration has achieved have been thanks to the FCC and bipartisan work done by House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries. Great wins, certainly love our government not shutting down after months of gridlock, but the kinda wins any Democrat’s administration could get.

Biden’s term has been defined by him doing the bare minimum. I think it’s fair for people to think any other Democrat could step in and continue doing the bare minimum.

You can organize a coup to overthrow the government and claim it’s an official act, there’s absolutely nothing stopping a president from claiming assassinations are an official act now. Hell, the commander in chief already organizes assassinations on foreign targets.

The Democrats might not abuse this, but the Republicans will, and they have given themselves carte blanche to start killing political dissidents.

The six conservative SCOTUS members have just openly told everyone that they are fascists who want to destroy democracy. There is a detailed solution to this kind of tyranny.

Humans can have more complex emotions. We can be stressed about theoretical concepts that animals just are not equipped to understand. We can be excited by the prospect of future events.

Most animal emotions are immediate. They enjoy some food they eat, they find a nice warm spot to bask in, they see a predator and run away. Most animals lack the mental capacity to think beyond the immediate.

Of course he is. The DNC spent the last four years with their heads up their asses thinking that this election is in the bag. They had time to set-up a different candidate, and they refused. They had time to strategize for a win, and decided to do fucking nothing.

I swear to god if Democrats throw this fucking election just like 2016 because they refuse to take fascism seriously, I will punch anyone who tries to claim it’s the left’s fault.

It’s only okay when the alternative is “your entire population is killed.” If you’re not fighting a defensive war with high stakes, then it’s just a way to kill poor people and political dissidents.

I mean, anyone could exercise it. These justices are appointed for life after all. The problem seems to be that the far-right has a monopoly on violent lunatics.

It’s mostly just Americans lying to ourselves because we happened to get a bad roll on where we got born.
