  • Where are Nazis in government in the US or EU? Even Donald Trump isn’t a card carrying Nazi, even though he isn’t a good person or politician. He also isn’t in office, and that’s the closest to an actual Nazi I can think of in either place.

Anyway, someone made space for you and then you decided to call them a doltish sod. After calling yourself awesome no less. The truth is you’re not “awesome” if you are going to behave like this. There is something wrong with you.

  • Having to deal with a drug dealer that wants to also sell you actually addictive drugs is the gateway.

Marijuana is addictive though. Maybe not as addictive as some other things, but pretending it’s completely non addictive is disingenuous and misleading. It’s more addictive than say LSD or psilocybin for example.

That isn’t to say it should remain illegal though. Legalisation has positive benefits even for harder, more addictive substances than marijuana. See the history of alcohol prohibition for example, or the disaster that is the war on drugs.

  • The gateway phenomenon does exist. It isn’t caused by the substance itself but rather by it being illegal. Using it puts you in contact with people who sell or use other illicit substances. Legalisation would fix this issue obviously.

Cannabis is from a unique class of substances (cannabinoids) named after it. This is because it was the first known of its type, and combines stimulant, depressant, and hallucinogenic effects. I don’t know about it’s legal classification in the USA, but here it’s a standard Class B substance.

I agree about AA and NA though. There really shouldn’t be any room for such religious nonsense in state policy, or just in general.

  • What sort of stuff do they teach about cannabis in health class that’s so badly wrong? I am not an American so I don’t really know.

I remember in ours while they talked about the dangers of drugs in some disingenuous ways, they also put a lot of emphasis on the dangers of alcohol and nicotine. Specifically I remember them comparing either alcohol or nicotine to cocaine or cannabis or something and saying that the nicotine was more addictive than the illicit substance.

Cannabis isn’t nearly as harmless as people like to think, but that doesn’t mean it’s as harmful as others would have you believe. It’s certainly less physically destructive and somewhat less addictive than something like alcohol which should always be considered a “hard drug”.

They were forced to sell under threat of eminent domain. That’s why they tried to sell it for $1 along with a list of conditions on what it could be used for to highlight the danger. The Government then rejected this offer. Rather than trying to blame some random company just because you think all companies are evil, maybe go and read the history instead.

Reading things written in old English probably isn’t going to improve your literacy, because it’s not really the same language. If anything you’re going to make it worse when people try using older spellings, grammar conventions, or words that are no longer used. If you actually want to understand and use modern English, maybe start with modern English. If you really wanted to help people read and write, reform spellings and grammar to be more easily understood or pull a Korea and make a whole new much simpler writing system.
