Took me a while to dig up the posts on distrowatch, but I’m pretty sure that the first Linux distro that I used heavily was Mepis Linux 8 back in 2007-2009. I loved that OS.

I used Google when organic wasn’t able to find certain addresses. I travel for work and sometimes organic isn’t great for weird places.
I use PipePipe for YouTube. I really like that app. I haven’t tried Revanced Youtube.
Oh nice. I primarily use DuckDuckGo, but I do use Leta occasionally. I’ll have to check Qwant out as well. Thanks!

TheTurner@lemm.eeto Ask@lemm.ee•Gamers, when was the last time you upgraded your GPU? Was it worth it?English2·1 month agoUsed to have a GTX 1060. It served me well for several years. Went with a used RTX 4060 just last week. The difference was staggering. It was worth it for the price. It’ll last me just as long as the 1060 did.
TheTurner@lemm.eetoInsanePeopleFacebook@lemmy.world•Sovcit thinks a birth certificate is a contract.English15·1 month agoI sure do! This is just a list of random things that I can remember at the moment that he has told me or I know about him in no particular order.
- A man called the World Judge controls all the funding to the police in every country.
- Clouds come from smoke stacks.
- He swears he has never seen a blue sunshiny day in his entire life (he is 50+ years old).
- He has the right to kill any police officer who pulls him over.
- He says that time is controlled by satellites in the sky and when one goes down, they have extra ones to control the time.
- The Earth is flat. There is a glass dome over top of it and no one has ever been to space before.
- He has tracked down the end of a rainbow and said that he touched it.
- Onions heal everything.
- Crystals will protect you and heal bad juju or something like that.
- The U.S. is under naval law and not common law.
- He doesn’t pay any taxes and still complains about the system.
- He thinks that Siri can hear him in the sky when no iPhone is around.
That’s just a little bit of what I can recall at the moment. There’s just too much dumb shit that he says every day. Lol. I have to tune it out most days because I can’t stand a listen to it.

I worked some side job cleaning a medical building. The cleaning company used a fungicide as one of the chemicals. No one was wearing a respirator so I didn’t think I’d need one. Worst mistake. That chemical burned my nose and lungs for a few days after. I just ghosted them and didn’t go back.
