American institutions have failed in many ways, and the Biden administration has given up every tine the institutions fail. Now we have this.

Also valid. The democrats and their mouthpieces in the press yelled from the rooftops that the economy was Good Actually and that people were just too dumb to see it.
Trump campaigned on the economy being bad, and then scapegoated everyone except the corporate elite that are raising prices.
Kamala isn’t on the left. The democrats aren’t on the left. This is a false dichotomy. They’re all capitalists. You can’t be on the left and be a capitalist, so leftists had many more disagreements with Kamala than Palestine.
Now, if you want to look at a great analysis of fascism and the false dichotomy in American politics, read Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti.
Again, Trump will absolutely be far worseby just greenlighting isreal.
The aim of a genocide is the same whether there’s someone with a blue tie approving it or a red tie approving it. Israel wants to displace or kill every Palestinian and break their culture and heritage.
That’s what genocide is. You can’t get worse than that, and that’s what’s happening.
Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about
Maybe you can trade places with a Palestinian getting genocided right now and see how smug you are then.
Zionists are something else.
Nobody’s saying that the climate denier is better for the environment. We’re saying that Kamala, who “believes in science” would be a smokescreen, just like Biden was.
If your climate agenda is to give tax credits to install heat pumps and a ton of money to EV manufacturers, and to not actually tackle the biggest polluters in the country, you don’t have a serious climate plan. Also deeply unserious is slapping tariffs on China’s affordable and reliable solar panels and EVs.
The military is a huge polluter and greenhouse gas emitter. So are suburban neighborhoods and aviation. If you can’t tackle those by realigning foreign policy, infrastructure, and urban development, then you’re not going far enough.
This won’t be solved by giving a ton of money to private companies and hoping they find a profit motive. We’d need a vast expansion of state capacity at this point.
It’s a democracy controlled by people who don’t care about regular working people. It was designed by rich white dudes and slaveowners 250 years ago to protect and increase their wealth.
Your institutions have failed you. Americans need to demand better and throw off the chains that the wealthy have put on them.
This could be Loss if you move a few panels
My favorite fun fact is that Big Bird has different names and appearances in different countries. Canonically, they’re all Big Bird’s cousins
Like in Mexico, he’s a green and red parrot named Abelardo
Would that be why there seems to be so much Deutschposting on platforms like Mastodon and Lemmy?
Do you find something wiseable about the name
Biggusssss
Dickussssss???
Onenote! I use it for school and work, and love the syncing capability and the flexibility in structuring and organizing my notes. I also like the keyboard shortcuts and the way it can dock to a side of the screen to keep the main content visible
Wowwww that looks fantastic! I still think about the poutine 4 years after visiting Quebec. My area is not known for its cheese curds, so it’s a painful experience trying to find poutine around here! I’m still mad at this one place nearby that swore up and down that it was authentic Quebecois only to have shredded mozzarella cheese on its poutine!
Gender affirming care bans haven’t had a great time standing up in federal court in the past decade or so.
Groups like the ACLU and Lambda Legal have gone to great lengths to establish precedent that gender doesn’t have to be defined at birth, gender dysphoria is a genuine medical condition, and that gender affirming care helps with dysphoria.
That, combined with the precedent in Bostock that sexuality and gender identity can be covered by bans on sex discrimination makes it look like these bans will continue to fail when challenged.
Granted, the Federalist Society ghouls and their friends know this too and are trying to push back. Also, the Supreme Court could rule on 303 Creative v. Elenis tomorrow and absolutely devastate LGBT protections in the name of religious freedom. That would make this comment irrelevant almost immediately. As for now, we’ll probably see a lot more bans fail in federal court though
That’s an accurate term too
