AFAIK, Reddit has a bunch of Chinese investors. Maybe they care?

Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Proton @lemmy.world•Proton Mail and Proton Calendar roadmap for spring and summer | ProtonEnglish5·21 days agoI’m in a similar boat. I always disable this feature.
But I’m also pretty good at avoiding junk mail or unsubscribing from newsletters. So I guess I’m not the target user for such a feature.
Lasagna@lemmy.mlOPto Mlem for Lemmy@lemmy.ml•[Feature request] Filter feed by timeEnglish4·24 days agoThat’s awesome, thanks! Good to know that this is going to be supported by Lemmy itself.

This is amazing, I need to install this ASAP. Are you using it yourself?
Wonder if there’s some sort of resource to import great hikes from.
Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Buy European@feddit.uk•Outdoor gear 🏔️🥾 (we have so many brands)English13·1 month agoDon’t get GoreTex because it’s using PFAS chemicals which are harmful to the nature we’re out there to enjoy.
Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Buy European@feddit.uk•Outdoor gear 🏔️🥾 (we have so many brands)English5·1 month agoVery good gear and they don’t use chemicals harmful for the environment (such as Gore-Tex / PFAS).
Would be interesting to learn why they decided to discontinue Qwant Maps. I wonder if it’s a technological hurdle, a competitor issue or something else.
I’m still looking for a good Google/Apple Maps replacement with good UX and enough information about local businesses.
Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•I've tried nearly every browser out there and these are my top 6 (none are Chrome)English81·1 month agoYeah I was surprised as well, but apparently they’re working in a new browser.
It’s an interesting approach where you can take all the learnings from the first product and then put it into a follow-up product.
I hope they’re continuing the ARC direction, just not based on Chromium. But I’m afraid they’re going all in on some sort of AI browser…
Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•I've tried nearly every browser out there and these are my top 6 (none are Chrome)English62·1 month agoArc is very nice for my workflow, quite a different take on what a browser can be. But I’d say you’re not missing out too much as it’s, unfortunately, no longer in active development.
They still update chromium regularly, but they’re no longer working on functionality or bug fixes because it’s “done” or something. 🤷♂️
Sorry but I can’t read past that intro. Don’t doubt there’s a bunch of propaganda out there, but this is don’t tell me Israel is the victim here. Their propaganda machine has been running full steam for decades.
Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Buy European@feddit.uk•It has been a few weeks since we started this, which European email provider have you switched to?English4·1 month agoI moved to notion. I think the CEO story is somewhat overblown. But I’m using custom domains in case I’m proven wrong, which will make it easy to switch if I have to.

Are you installing this on an Apple device? Curious about your experience!

Getting a bit tired of the brigading against Proton. IMO the negativity is overblown and Proton is still a good option.
But do recommend everyone to get a custom domain so it’s easy to switch in case I’m proven wrong and Proton does turn sour.

Lasagna@lemmy.mlto Australia@aussie.zone•Elon Musk’s Starlink could be used to transmit Australian election voting resultsEnglish49·2 months agoWhat a great idea! Musk messing around with election infrastructure in the USA definitely wasn’t suspicious.
I use it daily to replace meetings and work with people in different time zones. Allows me to record my screen while I present whatever it is I need to share.
