That’s likely because your Macs are using the TPM. Does your Linux machine have a TPM, and are you using it?
If you’re having it automatically unlock the drive at boot, it kind of defeats the purpose. If someone steals your tower, they can boot it and copy the unencrypted contents since it automatically unlocks.
Internet should be public like many other utilities.
Can you share your redacted frigate config?
The NAS itself will likely outlive the drives inside, just the nature of things. Hard drives follow a sort of curve when it comes to failure, most fail either immediately or in a few 10000 hours of run time. Other factors include the drives being too hot, the amount of hard power events, and vibration.
Lots of info on drive failure can be found on Backblaze’s Drive stat page. I know you have shucked drives, these are likely white label WD Red drives which are close to the 14TB WD drive backblaze uses.
I haven’t used Google for awhile now. It just became an ad-ridden hellhole.
As of January 2024 Sony has a market cap of $116.02 Billion. This makes Sony the world’s 119th most valuable company by market cap.
Yeah, $14 mil is the cost of doing business for Sony, a slap on the wrist.
Life for this seems absolutely insane.
How will it last as long as Skyrim when it has relatively little to no content?
Oh sorry! I have three of the STARKVIND model with charcoal filters.
My solution is a bit DIY’d; I use my Zigbee devices with Home Assistant & a Silicon Labs Zigbee/Z-Wave combo stick.
I have a few of their air quality sensors, too! They seem to work pretty well, it does take them a minute to calibrate once they’re plugged in though. I also don’t really have anything to compare them to (other than the onboard air quality sensors in the air purifiers).
Always happy to see more Zigbee-controlled fixtures, love my Ikea air purifiers.
Just in time for the winter counteroffensive.
You might try adding :rw after each of your volume paths, like this:
volumes:
- /path/to/appdata/config:/config:rw
My honest suggestion would be to ditch Duplicati for Duplicacy. Duplicacy is one time payment, but it’s much more polished than Duplicati. I actually had major issues with recovering files from Duplicati; sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t. Not ideal for something as critical as backup software.
Of course it’s early, but Ozempic rebound is a real thing that you can easily search to study. Here’s an example for you: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/29/people-taking-obesity-drugs-ozempic-and-wegovy-gain-weight-once-they-stop-medication.html
Maybe you were the one pulling “facts out of your ass”?
Because not every doctor tells their patients the risks, including that you must continue taking it or risk gaining more weight back if you stop. It’s making more people overweight in the long run because they stop due to serious headaches (the most common side-effect).
You are correct that it’s the drug company at fault here too, not just the public. It’s also the fault of doctors that are continuing to prescribe it off-label for weight loss.
Ozempic works off label for weight loss while you take it, but you have to keep taking it or you will gain it back. People are gaining even more weight once the side effects of Ozempic make them stop taking it.
Gotta love people taking drugs from others that actually need them. The off label use here should be seriously looked into.
Why block Wine? It’s gotta be a tiny fraction of their user base.
