I didn’t realize it went away!

I know what you meant but unless you’re gaming there’s nothing you can do with a Pixel 8 that can’t be done with the 4a (though I usually reccomend the P5 because for a few dollars more you can get wireless charging and significantly better battery life).
extremely old
Dude it’s less than four years old lol I get what you are saying but Q3 2020 is not that long ago.
The Pixel 5 is not much more expensive and is still a great phone with good battery life and good camera, and the last Pixel small enough to used one-handed. It also has wireless charging which is missing on the 4a.
If your friend isn’t gaming or doing anything CPU-intensive the P5 is what I would reccommend today. Everything afterwords has been an incremental upgrade for significantly more money.

Not looking great but at least they’re being realistic about it.
This is messy with 20 episodes dropping all at once, but option #1 is probably the best course of action.
Another idea: All 20 discussion threads, but posted two per day for ten days. Then after two-ish weeks, posting a season-long discussion thread.
Regardless, I like the idea of a new “So what did y’all think?” discussion thread posted a couple of weeks later for those of us who don’t prefer to binge.
I’m honestly surprised to encounter someone who uses Lemmy but not adblock.
On second thought let’s not go to Risa. Tis a silly place.
hey look its the guy from the meme
This is my favorite but I can’t say why.
no thats cheating
People do it because they care. I ran /r/StarTrek for over a decade because I wanted a specific type of community to exist that didn’t elsewhere, and reddit made it easy.
Of course, reddit eventually screwed me (and all of us) with their greed and there was no way to move what we’d built. If a nonprofit reddit-like site existed back then I would hopefully have had the foresight to use it instead.
People do it for free on Lemmy, too. Reddit used to be much more moderator-friendly. I think a lot of remaining mods are just going on muscle memory at this point.
Fascinating stuff I love that you did this. I’m surprised Morn didn’t rank higher considering how chatty he is in every scene.
