My point is while the decision might please the poor trailer park misogynists and religious zealots, and the fight between women and them is stoked by for profit media to keep the peasants divided, the court made that decision to further the long term economic interests of the owners concerned with their nepo babies not having enough cattle to exploit.

The women on the court, and the affluent women this court represents the interests of don’t consider peasant women that have to suffer these rulings to be human at all. Socioeconomic status at the true owner level transcends all other conflicts, because it either creates or greatly exacerbates all of them. Just ask Clarence Thomas.

They can propagandize the races/sexes/religious followings to beat eachother to death with their media machines, but whether we get our shit together and fight the owners, or keep taking the bait and beating on one another as they laugh, the conflict is the tiny class of owner capitalists vs. Everyone else.

Until then, we know not living lives powered by burning ridiculous quantities of dead flora/fauna juice wouldn’t further destabilize our only, increasingly uncomfortably hot habitat. We also know that simply stopping won’t reverse the damage already done on a time scale humans can perceive.

We are literally turning the habitat of any future humans into 🔥Hell🔥. And if we couldn’t make it work here, on easy mode, with enough pre-existing water/air/waste recycling to support millions to billions sustainably, we certainly aren’t going to thrive on worlds where a single mistake means oops, everybody dead instantly try again. Im glad of that honestly, as the idea of growing/metastasizing into space and exploiting new world’s resources almost makes dollar signs pop out of billionaire’s eye sockets, and if thats the core reason they’re so eager for us to spread out there, may we die on the vine.

If we cared about having a future for the species at all, Humanity’s only mission right now would be to END the global economy’s jihad of growth/metastasis, every major nation would institute child limits, and we would work to end consumerism and find homeostasis/equilibrium instead for the sake of our very survival, because this reverse terraforming we’ve done in decades will take millions of years for the earth to heal from. That’s nothing to Earth’s 3.8 billion year old story of life, but it might as well be eternity to our short term monkey brains. Our reality, our world will continue to heat, and if we stopped tomorrow entirely, would take many times longer to go back to normal than our species has existed for.

Thats a new spin to me. The only thing monopolies secure is their own existence.

Because “free markets, competition, being voluntary” are propaganda by capitalists using their owned media and purchased government to make its victims double as its defenders.

The goal of market capitalism is to end competition often by buying out up and coming rivals to kill the threat, manipulate the markets to your advantage using anything from bribery to cost benefit analysis of potential consequences/fines for sociopathic actions to potential profits, and conspire with your economic sector to coerce the workers you need into accepting less.

This is just expanded indentured servitude with a marketing team.
