  • Hourglass of Lost Chances
    Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)

This magical hourglass, crafted from a material more resilient than steel yet as transparent as glass, contains sand that remains curiously still and does not flow.

While you have the Hourglass on your person, you can utter its command word as an action to activate it. Upon activation, the sand begins to flow from one bulb to the other, a process that continues unabated even if you turn the Hourglass upside down.

While you have the active Hourglass on your person, you can utter its command word again as an action. Doing so reverts the timeline to the moment you activated it. Every event, including death, is undone, but all creatures across the multiverse retain their memories of what transpired during that timeframe. However, any creature that was not within a 1-mile radius of you at any moment while the Hourglass was active experiences this as a sense of déjà vu.

The Hourglass becomes inactive 10 minutes after activation or immediately after you use it to revert the timeline. Once deactivated, it cannot be activated again for the next 7 days.

    (Edit for clarity)

  • I used to think the same way, but one day MS was having server issues on their end, and my XOne refused to play my rightfully owned game despite the disc being in the console. I was also unable to log into my account, which made me unable to save my progress, which made playing the game (if it suddenly decided to work) impossible.

Consoles were great until the X360/PS3 era. I could buy a disc, insert the disc into the console, and start playing, and the game would probably work fine without much hassle. I played my X360 offline for years and it worked just fine. Nowadays I go to the store, buy the disc, go back home, insert the disc, wait for it to install, and then I discover that the game was not optimized for my console of choice and it runs awfully to the point of unplayability. And if I have no internet connection, tough luck, my console turns into an expensive brick.

I now just buy on GoG. Much easier that way. Console exclusives are ported to PC anyway, so you’re not missing anything. You also get nice perks like playing online for free if you’re into multiplayer games, or playing older games on emulators (and current ones, because fuck Nintendo).

  • The characters are from the TV series “The owl house”.

Amity (the pink-haired one) and Viney (the gal in the last vignette) are witches from the “Demon realm”, a different dimension that houses witches and demons. They eat totally different things from humans and their food is inedible to humans, and human food can have different effects on them compared to humans.

Which means that you could be a witch! Congratulations!
