I tried to make a phone “wallet” case. I used the inside of my old one (what you press your phone into), cardboard from a an old box and some leftover vinyl flooring. I originally wanted to glue everything but ended up stapling some bits. these pics where hastily made and don’t do the thing justice. Let’s see how well this holds up (I seldom have it in my pocket so that helps).

      Thank you!

I did use a regular stapler indeed. This vinyl was not particularly thick so with some effort that worked.

Please take a better look at the photos. Only the hinges are stapled (they do not penetrate through anything given how thick the case is).

Cool! I made one once out of plastic material from a shampoo bottle and baling wire staples, but it didn’t look this nice (plus, it had pokey corners).

You made out of cardboard and staples? I hope you don’t ever need to use it in the rain.

The cardboard is in between the flooring vinyl to give the case some rigidity. BTW, the bought case i used before was cardboard and some kind of synthetic fabric.

You know you can buy almost anything, right. It’s the point of this community to not do that and instead share the joy of making something by yourself. I’m sorry if you didn’t get to experience that joy yet.
