They went out to murder children, looked children who were cowering in the eyes, and murdered them in cold blood. Then they went back, put their own children near their weapon stores, hid among their children, and begged third parties to keep them from getting punished for murdering children. Considering the last major hostage trade gave the children murders their chief child murderer back, I would not want to arrange another trade of child murderers for civilians who did nothing wrong other than be close to them.
