A new study claims that we can diagnose autism using microbes in the gut. Too bad they didn't heed an earlier study that warned against making this conclusion.
Right, and the only mention of “ASD caused by gut microbiome” is in this guy’s op-ed, not the actual study he is panning, which just talks about using the stool samples for diagnosis.
It’s more like if researcher A wrote a study said that “same building code violation found in 91% of beach house wreckages” and researcher B wrote an op-ed titled “Researcher A thinks destroyed beach homes actually CAUSE hurricanes”
ASD can be diagnosed from the flora, but it’s not caused by it. That’d be like saying that hurricanes are caused by destroyed beach homes.
