Wow. Mozilla had already been on the downcrawl for a while now but it looks like they just laced up their sneakers and took off running. Disgusting behavior that’s completely out of touch with their userbase.
And most people complain that there is no alternative, or better fork etc. … like Librewolf wouldn’t exist. So either you config those settings manually in a matter of seconds or you use Librewolf from the start. And even the novice user, who - for some reason - knows and uses FF, will have a better experience on vanilla FF than on Chrome(-based browsers).

You can still untoggle it at least. Better than other browsers.
True, but opt-out is never true consent.
I’m fortunately on Android so I can disable it on mobile, too, but I feel a bit of sympathy for the iOS guys who are stuck with this now.

Now I’m not saying that android is any better but people seem to be under the impression that Apple products are bulletproof and infallible.
My sympathy for them is pretty limited … but one is not allowed to say that.
