Yesterday I woke up near Dallas, went to Houston for family stuff, went back to Dallas for different family stuff, and had to be at work at 8am this morning in Austin.
If my job had work for me to do right now I guarantee I would have been back today. I have two weeks off because of Christmas and New Year’s falling on Wednesday, which means for the company we have a contract with, their employees were about to use only six days of PTO to get two paid weeks off. Most people took the opportunity. I don’t get PTO. My poor wife had to go back today and I know she hates me right now.
I can’t complain. I am getting paid for doing some bullshit easy online training done. The classes are actually fairly complex networking stuff, but I can pass the tests much faster than reading and watching everything. I just give it a skim and hit the tests.
Which reminds me I need to bang out a couple classes before midnight!
