Technically the crown already empowered Parlaiment for all state affairs so they’re a Republic now.

Let me put it this way: the number of people who show up for events like marriages, funerals and corronations is surprising even to them. The royal family is a net possitve for Tourism and it would be difficult to emulate that without them.
