The thing that bothers me most about the Democrats’ current arguments over which issues “cost us the election” is the apparent lack of concern about what we think is right.

The hypocrisy of choosing positions based entirely on what you think will win an election is a major part of why so many people have given up on participating in the process. What we are seeing is no longer a matter of choosing which battles to fight, based on an underlying set of principles. The principles have been thrown out, leaving only hypocrisy. We firmly believe in…whatever will get us elected this time around.

It may be necessary to focus on a limited set of objectives, but that can be done without disavowing everything else. We need to stop ignoring, or apologizing for, our belief in the worth and dignity of every human being.

I don’t know which Democrats are arguing about “what cost us the election” but I know for a true fact that the MAGAts are off the grid with their own rusian-financed propaganda networks. It’s enormous. And terrifyingly powerful.

I see a lot of “Democrats suck” with various-agenda’s hot takes attached, but that’s probably not what you’re talking about.

I’ve seen a lot of that on social media too, and I agree with you that it’s proven to be way too effective.

What I’m talking about are recent news articles that cover the discussions happening within the Democratic party. I expected the Corporatists and the Progressives to be at war over it, but there seems to be a lot of finger pointing over every possible issue.

I think they’re spotlighting an artificial ‘conversation’ that isn’t really happening. Mostly because strife begets clicks.

I have only seen comments from people who don’t vote democrat and then say they have to do better propoganda and such. I like the democrats because of how they function relative to their competition. What needs to happen is for politicians not winning when they brazenly brag about shameful activity and plans to abuse their power for their or their groups aims.

Ethics were never a thing in US politics.

Power was. And that’s all. Power, with a veneer of “gentlemanly behavior”.
