I’m so excited for the end of humanity. All of us could stop this but we sit here and write bullshit retrospectives.

    We deserve it.

Humanity won’t end, we’re far too resilient. The age of human civilisation as we understand might very well end though.

Honestly the best chance the planet has left versus our continued survival. I was hoping we could avoid purge/culling/mad-max levels of absurdity, yet here we are. I’m truly a monster for bringing my children into this world, and worse for trying, but failing, to raise them accordingly.

IE, I think they are more good people versus being tenaciously intent on survival at all costs. The species needs more of both, I guess.

I wanted them to teach others that tenacity, to lead by example when it comes seizing life by the horns in the face of adversity. Yeah, I should’t be too upset that they have been too comfortable until these last 6 weeks.

Maybe I should have raised them to be leaders in adition to being decent people, although the one supervises a bunch of cashiers at 16, so guess they’ll be alright, if not contagiously so. My personal aversion to positions of authority did not rup off on them.

Oh sweet, you added another level to my impulse to comment “guilty”. Not only did I hold my nose and vote for Harriss over this above most other issues, I don’t even particularly believe we as a species deserve to survive.

I just don’t believe animals, let alone other individual humans, deserve to suffer over my opinions and our collective indifference to the state in which we leave or keep the planet. We’ve got a long, painful extinction looming over us, whether in a thousand generations or two.

Leaning into it with the maggats is just an absurd response from anyone with more than two brain-cells to rub together.

Speak for yourself. As a disabled veteran, my healthcare is covered, just not my wife and kids’, just yet. Socialism has actually been alive and well for certain swaths of the US population for a long time, just like the “socialism” that Hitler wanted for Germany … and now I’m back to thinking I should move my family off of this sinking ship.

I have a regular job(for the moment; Seem to have hit upon a reasonable medication/therapy/routine regimen that allows for that, if not a sound state of mind). Doesn’t take a disability rating that pays much of anything to get the Healthcare coverage.

That said, there are plenty of countries where I, maybe even my family, could live off what I get from the VA. I’m not looking to retire yet though.

And her campaign promised to not end fracking. “Drill, baby, drill” is the mantra until the entire world is aflame.
