I recall reading somewhere that good mods rarely made it past a year or two - this was on Reddit - b/c they genuinely cared for their community. Those who enjoy being soul-sucking leeches rather than contributing members really do take their toll (worse, we all can slip into the role without realizing it ourselves). I am glad that they will take a step back for their health:-).
